The cost of consulting services are based on daily, weekly, and monthly rates or your cost savings.
Daily, Weekly, and Monthly Rates
The daily rate is $1,500.00 per day, the weekly rate is $1,200.00 per day, and the monthly rate is $1,000.00 per day.
Your Cost Savings
Tune SQL to achieve cost savings, improve response time for transactions, and elapsed time of batch programs. Your savings over the life of the application system can be dramatic. Your costs for tuning the SQL is the cost savings of executing the original statement for one month. If there are no savings you pay nothing.
Reduce your costs of executing SQL and pay the costs of executing the original SQL for one month. You benefit for the life of the SQL (1, 5, 10 years, for example). Following is an example of an original SQL statement with a cost of 10 CPU seconds, requiring 1000 getpages, and 40 physical I/O. The cost of executing the SQL statement once is $17.00 with the cost per CPU second of $0.05, cost per getpage is $0.01, and the cost per physical I/O is $0.05. (The actual unit costs are based on your configuration.) The statement is executed 50 times per month for a total cost of $850.00. After tuning the SQL, it required 2 seconds of CPU time, 100 getpages, and 5 physical I/O with 50 executions per month for a total cost of $112.50.

There is no charge for tuning SQL if there is no savings. We do need a dial-in connection to your computer with representative data for tuning and testing the SQL statements.
We tune the SQL statement that you identify as performing poorly and we can identify statements that perform poorly using your monitoring tools.
